it started to feel like it was looking back
Project Pufferfish
Concept
This wasn’t meant to be unsettling at first. It started as something organic; just an exploration of form, texture, something that could exist on skin without feeling forced. But the more I worked on it, the more it shifted. The eye became too present. Too aware. It stopped feeling like a design and started feeling like something observing.

Reflection
Looking back, I think I could’ve pushed the distortion further.
There’s still a part of it that feels slightly held back.
but maybe that restraint is what makes it sit well on skin.
the client connected with it immediately
which mattered more than making it more extreme.
It doesn’t need to be louder.
It just needs to exist the way it does.
